A GENTLEMAN FOR CHRISTMAS by Author Prescott Lane

Some say “chivalry is dead.”

I don’t think so. Most women I know like a gentleman.

Protective, opens doors, treats women with respect, typically follows the rules.

But a gentleman doesn’t fall for his best friend’s woman. Current or ex.

And that’s what I’ve done.

During the Christmas season of all times — that magical time for decorations, gifts, family . . .

Yes, the girl who was off-limits for so long, who I’ve loved all my life, has come back in town and possibly back to me.

I can’t follow the gentleman rules this time. There’s too much at stake. I let her go once. I won’t let her go again.

What happens under the mistletoe, stays under the mistletoe.

Or does it?

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

This is my second ARC from Ms.  Prescott Lane. I was so excited to sign up because of the blurb and because I'm a Christmas-person.

I devoured this overnight... page after page, it was just—intriguing... enticing.

Its an easy read... and sure there sad moments but those never stay sad for long... the characters were great but the pacing was a wee bit hurried, to me at least. I felt like the relationship needed to stew a little bit.

I am all for drama and a gripping love triangle... I know both leads were in love with each other a long time but didn't exactly knew how the other felt until only recently... I understand that bottled-up feelings tend to over spill over... its just... It would've been better if their timeline stretched-out a bit... Like in real life, it would've been awkward when its the first time you become single in 10years and you jump into a relationship right away... to someone whom you consider a best-friend... you've all been friends for a long time and so is your ex-boyfriend... Aaaand it wasn't even clear why the ex did what he did... it just didn't make sense... it was all about the key and then you discovered the unthinkable... If I expound on this more, I'm afraid I might give away important points of the story... So I'm just going to stop right now...

I enjoyed the story. This book will teach you about loving yourself more... setting up standards you know you deserve and believe in fate—that what's meant to be will always find it's way.

If you're looking for a quick and easy holiday read, this is the book to pick up next. This will definitely give you the warm fuzzy-feels... and who knows, maybe Jax could be your new book-boyfriend!
