WAITING FOR THE SUN by Author ROBIN HILL

BLURB:

A QUIRKY RAY OF SUNSHINE BREATHES NEW LIFE INTO A LONELY WIDOWER IN THIS DEBUT NOVEL BY ROBIN HILL.

Be the butterfly, Frankie…

Francesca Valentine would rather swear off chocolate than go on vacation solo, but she made a promise to her late father to come out of her shell and live a little. When her best friend bails on their annual girls’ trip, she vows to do just that, but her plan is foiled when the hotel loses her reservation. Alone and stranded in Austin, Texas during one of the world’s largest music festivals, she's rescued by a mysterious stranger, and an unexpected friendship blossoms.

Ten years after losing his family in a tragic accident, Darian Fox is finally back on his feet. The onetime rock star turned successful indie label-owner is content with the isolated life he’s created for himself and wants to keep it that way. But when he’s forced to travel to Texas on behalf of his company, he finds it’s hard to be alone in a city overrun with people. He meets the beautiful, magnetic Francesca and discovers alone is the last thing he wants to be.

The unlikely pair form a bond that elevates them from merely existing to living a life less ordinary. But the lines of friendship quickly blur, and when Francesca’s true feelings surface, Darian will have to decide between breaking her heart and breaking the promise he made to the family he lost. With his own heart ruled by guilt, does Francesca even stand a chance?

…Spread your wings and fly.

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

This is Robin Hill's debut novel and I must say that it left me pouting and pissy like a 5 year old... and only because it left me wanting more and hanging! I was so eager to start that I missed that part on the cover where it says "part one" lol

I loved it! It took a wee bit for me to warm up to Francesca and Darian but they did... they'd embedded themselves to me as I turned page after page...

Darian Fox, rockstar turned CEO, suffered a great loss he thought he'd never get over... enter Francesca Valentine—who kept on breaking his walls without even knowing it... They form a friends-with-benefits kinda' thing and we all know what happens next... lines get crossed and feelings evolve into something deeper...

Its really a great story about fortitude and resilience... The storyline isn't something I haven't before but it holds its own. The push and pull of Darian and Frankie exasperated me a bit, but its what made the build up of anticipation and excitement of them—will they or wont they?

It's not too angsty or over the top dramatic which I loved... Sometimes, all a a bookworm wants to do after a long day is just to ease up and unwind... and reading something heavy isn't going to help... This book is something you'd wanna read while relaxing... Its like a Hallmark movie. It has the right mix of everything...

Congratulations Robin Hill! This is an awesome book! I can't wait to read the what happens next to Darian and Frankie in RIDER's OF THE STORM.
