GHOSTED by Author J.M. DARHOWER

BLURB:

He's a troubled young actor, Hollywood's newest heartthrob, struggling with fame as the star of the latest superhero franchise. Through scandal after scandal, addiction on top of addiction, a flurry of paparazzi hunt him as he fights to conquer his demons. She's a single mother, assistant manager at a grocery store, existing in monotony with her five-year-old daughter. Every day when she goes to work, lurid tabloids surround her, the face of a notorious bad boy haunting her from their covers. A man and a woman, living vastly different lives, but that wasn't always the case. Once, they were just a boy and a girl who bonded over comic books and fell in love unexpectedly. When Kennedy Garfield met Jonathan Cunningham back in high school, she knew he had all the makings of a tragic hero. With stars in his eyes, and her heart on her sleeve, the pair ran away together to follow their dreams. But dreams, sometimes, turn into nightmares. Now, years later, the only thing they share is a daughter—one who has no idea her father plays her favorite superhero. But Jonathan is desperate to make amends, and at the top of his list is the woman who gave up everything for him and the little girl he hasn't yet met.

My Thoughts After Reading...

I'm a huge fan J.M. Darhower! I've read most of her work but Extinguish and Reignite are hands down my two most favorite (fantasy) books todate!

Okay, so everybody in my timeline was gushing about how awesome this book was, and rightfully so! It's been months since I've read such a brilliantly written second-chance romance! Dont get me wrong, I devour at least 3-4 books a week and most just dont cut it ya know? Like there's always something lacking.... like an emotional pull or something that tightens inside my chest, lol

And who doesnt like a second-chance romance?? Second-chance romances are the best! Everybody longs for it; wishes for it but just not everybody is given a second chance.

The story revolves around Jonathan and Kennedy...It all started when they were young (and reckless), and thought they could conquer the world with just their love for eachother...

You know, thats the thing about young love...when you're young, you think you know everything; that everything is a cake walk...but its actually not. In reality, Life is hard... sometimes life gets in the way of your dreams... life happens...and there's a lot of growing up and understanding to do... sure Love conquers all, but it wasnt easy for these two... especially now when a little girl is involved.

The pacing and the order of the story was written so seamlessly, and not once did I got confused... the transition of chapter after each chapter is so smooth... The main characters were well thought of, as well as the the supporting cast.

For those who of you are fans of JL Berg's When You're Ready and AL Jackson's Take this Regret, this is the book to read next!

Here are several passages in the book that I loved:
"Never make someone else the main character in your own story."

"But love is only as strong as the people who fuel it."
