This is a combination of second chance romance, in-love with best-friend's brother and childhood crush trope all rolled into one.
This was a slow burn for me... Sam practically spent the bulk of this book keeping Chloe in the dark. I understand his reasons but still, nobody wants to be blindsided by a secret that big. And for someone who finished medical school, he was a little bit dense when dealing with ex.
Chloe also practically spent a good chunk of the book being sick... *sigh*
I did enjoy the book. It was fairly an easy read.
