IMPERFECT MATCH by Melanie Harlow and Corinne Michaels

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

This is my first ARC from a Corinne Michaels and Melanie Harlow collaboration... I love both authors! They're two of my go-to's.

This story is about Willow and Reid... they're best-friends and neighbors. Practically did everything together ever since they got close... Willow is an employee of her mom's matchmaking business who is poised to retire soon... Reid is the son of a wealthy businessman but chose not to ride on his father's coattails and instead works as an ad executive... I assumed ya'll also read the blurb... so that's more or less the gist of it.

I was so giddy when I started this... If you've been reading my reviews, you'd know I love a very good build-up... and of course if its relatable and realistic—as realistic as they can be anyway...

In the beginning, I just assumed they've been friends for a very long time... like childhood best friends or something but they're not... only about 3 years—and I thought, what??

It was even made clear from the outset that they don't feel anything romantic towards each other, that they're very platonic... and then suddenly they both have this crazy feelings just because someone saw the other semi-naked... I rolled my eyes on that one... lol

It was all a wee bit fast-paced for my liking. Like if you'll check the timeline, this all probably happened within a month, two tops.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoyed the story... Their banter, the push and pull... it was all great... but I felt like it could've been better if only the pacing wasn't that fast or timeline was stretched a bit... but thats just my opinion as a reader and as a romantic sap.

This story will teach you that you are your own person regardless of where or whom you came from... that some people are worth it... and that you shouldn't be so hard on yourself.

And despite what I thought of,  it is still a sweet, sexy and funny read...
