MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...
I'm a wee bit embarrassed to admit that I need to read more of S.L. Scott's books. I've read a couple but its been too long. I do have them on my e-book reader but I've always been sidetracked by ARC-deadlines, by other books or just been sidetracked by life in general... and for that, I berate myself. I'm like, "Ugh! What's wrong with you?!" Lol
I've read some love stories that have some action scenes in them... And for me, this one has just the right amount of it... right amount of everything really. The pacing was great.. and while the story was angsty, dramatic and quite graphic, it wasnt exasperatingly so that you'd want to pull your hair out of frustration.
I love Cruise and Clara... how their characters were built, how their relationship progressed and how they overcame their demons...While I cant relate per se as I am a huge daddy's girl and I am close to my mom, I do however, admire how they were willing to mend fences and move on from whatever pain they went through in the past.
Eventhough this is a standalone, I will definitely read Savage, Savior and Solace to know more about the characters mentioned in the story, and to know more about Cruise.
