DIRTY HEADLINES by Author LJ SHEN

Célian Laurent.
Manhattan royalty.
Notorious playboy.
Heir to a media empire.
...And my new boss.

I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand.
I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory--namely, his wallet.
Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it.
But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose.
Brooklyn girl.
Infamously quirky.
Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.
When he looks at me from across the room, I see the glint in his eyes, and that makes us rivals.
He knows it.
So do I.
Every day in the newsroom is a battle.
Every night in his bed, war.
But it's my heart at stake, and I fear I'll be raising the white flag.

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

I received this ARC in exchange for a honest review, so here it goes...

First off, I'd like to say that I don't condone cheating. Cheating is cheating. It's always a conscious decision... I won't expound on that one anymore because I don't want to give any spoilers.

This book is the ultimate sexy-romantic-comedy as of date. It's sexy because the love scenes are scorching hot; it's romantic because there is nothing more that'll make you swoon than learning and discovering what love is together; and comedy, because it was all kinds of funny—the characters, their exchange of banters and especially those conversations with Jesus made me laugh out loud.

The whole concept isn't something I haven't read before—and I've read a lot over the years, but still it was refreshing in its own way. From the prologue right down to the epilogue, I was hooked.

The recurring push and pull in a story usually exasperates me but in this one, the timing works and didn't leave me annoyed with their indecisiveness. I could see that it was really needed and not just something written in to add unnecessary  content. Though there was a part of the book—about receiving the letter, that bothered me... Like if he got the letter during those 3 days he went missing, why did he have to do what he did? It didn't make sense. Like he was literally already packing to leave... When did he receive the letter? During or after? That bit right there kinda boggled me... but all in all, I loved it! Enjoyed it!

I finished the book within a day and felt sad during the last couple of chapters because I didn't wanna let go, lol.

In the end, I was left feeling swoony and inspired—and that's what a good books does to you.

If you love overbearing, blunt but loving and swoon-worthy, rich, handsome assholes, and witty, hardworking and caring heroines, then this is the book to pick up next!
