MY ONE WEEK WITH THE BAD BOY by Authors BROOKE CUMBERLAND & LYRA PARISH

BLURB:

Never trust a man who answers the front door wearing nothing more than a pair of low-cut jeans and a panty-melting smirk. That should’ve been my first sign. I write about guys just like him for a living—sexy and charming, yet reluctant to get into a serious relationship. His body screams sex appeal, but his condescending personality makes him a classic fuckboy.  And I want nothing to do with that. Writing romance novels comes with its perks—traveling, meeting new people, creating characters from the voices in my head—but Ethan Rochester enters my life and rearranges all my preconceived notions about writing what inspires you.  One week is all it took. One week to realize that not everything is as it seems. One week with the bad boy, and I wanted more.

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

I'm aware who Brooke Cumberland is. I've read most of her work but her book, Bad Girlfriend is a favorite of mine—which made me ugly cry AF... but... this would be my first time reading something from Lyra Parish. I dont live under a rock but I guess I must be for missing out on such a talent. I will make it a point to read more from her since this book is amazing....

I was reading the blurb and honestly, I was a wee bit skeptical... like really, one week?? I was apprehensive how the authors would spin a week-long love story without it becoming shallow, forced or very rushed to the point of it becoming ridiculously unrealistic. But you know what? Once I started reading, I couldnt put the friggin book down. I devoured it practically the whole afternoon! It was just soooo good! Ugh! I know I'd sound like a broken record, but I just cant get over how good it was. There were butterflies in my tummy, and I was sighing and smiling the whole time I was reading it. It feels great to receive such an awesome ARC.

The characters just mesh really well... their playful banters should have a couple-goals hashtag! Lol

So the story is about Ethan, renting his cottage to Vada for a week... and I guess its not rocket science what happened after some time... Ethan came off like an arrogant jerk and Vada is this sassy, sweet and funny big city girl. I love how their story was told... how their characters evolved.... and despite how fast things developed, the pacing was great. It was seamless and well thought of.

Some of ya'll would surely think this is just another typical insta-love story... I guess in a way it is, BUT its so much more! Do not judge a book by its title, especially this one.

If ya'll want to be inspired and daydream after reading a book, this is the one to pick up next. This book is definitely a moodbooster!
