I've loved Brittainy Cherry ever since Loving Mr. Daniels and Art and Soul... then there was Tristan Cole from The Air He Breathes—which I haven't gotten over from yet after all these years. Long story short, I've been her reader for a very long time.
Milo and Star!! Where do I even begin?! These two made me swoon and tore my heart at the same time! I was already bracing myself ever since the first chapter because with Ms. Cherry—you'll never know what to expect.
This book shot right through my heart with regards to dealing with grรฏรซf... It's real and so vivid...that even though you've already anticipated how the flow of the story will go—it's still heart-wrenching. I had to reach for some Kleenex from time to time because people like me—those who've experienced the loss of a parent would relate how hard it is. There really is no timeline for it.
I love how these two characters grew through the story... the anticipation, their banter, their struggles... **sigh**
It's such a beautiful story about true love, grief, and resilience.
