This was my first ARC from the author. I read the blurb and got sucked in, so I signed up.
It's a darker enemies to lovers romance. This was my first time to read a book where the heroine is your typical coke-head socialite and the male lead is a twisted, playboy overlord.
I don't know if this is just me, I was struggling with this book because I had a hard time relating to it. It was such a slow-burn for me.
I understand that this is a trilogy and usually the coming books get better. I can't wait to read more about Lucian and Elaine, maybe I'll understand them better in the next book.
