KISS MY ASH by Author LEDDY HARPER

Ash Jenkins was the typical boy next door. Wait, who am I kidding? There was nothing typical about that boy.

He was tall, ripped, and had the voice of a man twice his age.

Sent to live with his dad after getting in some trouble with the law, he was definitely someone I needed to stay away from.

But he had his sights set on me, and he didn’t try to hide it.

Did it still make me a cougar if I was the prey?

MY THOUGHTS AFTER READING...

I received this ARC in exhange for an honest review... so here it goes...

In general, I loved the story... as a romantic sap, I do. But truthfully, I have mixed feelings about it. All I can do is empathize as much as I can in order to form an honest to goodness judgment.

I know that love is blind... it sees no color, no age, no gender and etc.... that love only sees through the heart... but as a mother, I don't think I'll ever be comfortable with my senior highschool son dating someone twice his age. I'd probably be—okay a smidge bit— understanding  if he was older and more stable, say when he's around 25 y/o... but 17?? Heck no! Regardless of playing the queen bish in their love life, I'd never be okay for my teen son to date someone almost as old as I am... I know we're in the 20th century, but no... no way. I'm sorry, but that is just grossly unacceptable... plus Kristy's push and pull is a tad exasperating. I mean at her age, you'd expect more good decisions from her.

On the other hand, the romantic sap in me—well I've thought about dating someone younger, but never a teenager! Kristy was what? 33? 34? What I meant in dating someone younger, I've only thought about only a couple years younger like someone at least in their late 20's... lol but seriously, disregarding Asher's age in the story, I thought it was romantic... the way he contained himself, the way he pursued her regardless of the hurdles... you can really feel that he is in love with her...

If you're into a may-december romance, with a swoony male lead then this is the book for you.
